Fire escape route
Quote from Guest on October 9, 2023, 10:41 amCould you please advise what department at Tendring council I need to speak to about the blocked area in the alleyway at the back of my house. I need to know who’s responsibility, it is to keep our fire exit route clear. I understand you was thinking of starting a volunteer group to sort alleyways which is commendable, however it is not a long term solution.
if I come out of my house in the dark because of a fire. There is no street light (which has been reported) someone has built up an area causing a step, which would not be seen in an emergency.if I turn right it is totally blocked by a bush/tree.
I have a disabled elderly neighbour who arranges for her right access to be cleared, but should she need to turn right she stands no chance.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
